Residential infill development – proposed construction of 4 dwellings on paddock

Corsham, Wiltshire

LP Planning secured planning permission for four new residential dwellings on this infill site in the village of Gastard, near Corsham. Formerly an equestrian paddock and stables used by the client’s children, the land had become redundant and offered an ideal opportunity for infill development. The proposal successfully connects an existing commercial premises to the west of the site with the wider village, which is currently cut off without a safe pedestrian route.

Following a positive feasibility study, LP Planning coordinated the full planning process on behalf of the clients, managing specialist consultants, preparing a robust submission, and ensuring a smooth route to approval.

With listed buildings nearby and a conservation area within the village, though not extending to this site, a detailed and considered approach was essential to demonstrate that no harm would arise to heritage assets. After attending the Town Council meeting and closely monitoring the application throughout, LP Planning secured planning permission for the clients.
